Mine are old and past it, and with a new frame I need to buy some upto date bars, stem and seatpost.
The question is, with so many out there, which are the good ones for xc and enduro racing at a reasonable price point.

any preference for carbon or not?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Carbon or alloy for the bars. Stem definatly alloy!
Seatpost either, as long as it is comfortable, strong and does not weigh a ton!A Devonian in Norway0 -
I use a carbon low-riser, cut to about 620mm. Should be available for under 50 quid.
My stem is heavy, Easton EA30, but I would go lighter like Smica (about 30 quid). 90mm, for my next one.
Thomson seatpost, which I got cheap, second hand. Others may be lighter, but you will have to pay for them.
Not everyone trusts carbon bars, but I havent had any trouble with mine. As a general rule, if you are heavy or a heavy rider then maybe best sticking to a heavier built aluminium job. Streako

For less than 100 quid could get a Smica seatpost, a Kooka or Smica stem, and a set of RF NEXT SL bars with a total weight of 530g or so.0
