Hi,

Im currently looking at a 2nd hand bianchi SL3 Aku Carbon reparto course bike which has ultega 9 speed groupset with a truativ carbon crank.

I have 2 questions really.

1) Is the ultegra 9 speed groupset and truativ carbon crank a good/happy combination that works well together??

2) Is it easy to convert to 10 speed later on if i wanted? i.e would i just need a 10 speed cassette or would the gear selectors need changing as well?

Many thanks :)

Ultegra 9 speed is a fine groupset, and I can think of no reason why you should have problems with a Truvativ crank. To be honest the crank is pretty immaterial, if properly set up it's going to work with any chainset - even Campagnolo!
To convert to 10 speed, you need to change cassette, chain and shifters, nothing else.

What sort of price do you think a 2nd hand bike with this spec should be worth?

Bianchi SL3 Alu Carbon Reparto corse road bike

Ultegra 9 speed groupset with Truativ carbon cranks.

The frame is lightweight aluminum with the rear seat stays in carbon, plus a carbon fork and seat post.

ITM Millennium stem 120mm and ITM Millennium handlebars 42cm.

Xero rear wheel with a Ritchey WCS front wheel.
