Possibly the end of the pedal axle has a hex wrench fitting. Don't own a pair but that's
usually the way pedals are made.

Yup - allen key in from the back of the crank. Rembering that the left hand one is left-threaded.
The trick to removing them is rembering to grease the threads before you fitted them...

Didn't realise before now that Keos have the same spindle design as some of the Time ATACs, i.e. no spanner flats on the axle. Which to be fair was an Achilles Heel of the ATACs (I had pedal-removing bother with a pair myself, despite greasing the threads) and has now thankfully been changed for the cheaper models at least; sounds like the Look designers didn't Think That One Through. Anyhow, I'm wary enough to have now been put off from buying a set of Keos.

I'm the opposite. I like it that I don't need 100's of tools for general maintenance.
other than the fact i haven't got it!!
I have the Keo Classic but I suspect that it's the same through the Keo rangehttp://twitter.com/mgalex

8mm allan key for Keo Classic & Carbon.
I don't see how an allen fitting is an 'achilles heel' compared to open-jaw spanner flats - the allen key fits a long way into the spindle and 8mm is a big size, so I reckon there's far less chance of it slipping or rounding-off.
Rather than messing about with some flimsy multi-tool, I have a set of proper allen keys which I use as 'workshop tools' (admittedly only Draper...), the 8mm is about 6" long - not had any problem shifting it with that !0
