For tops - the ideal on that you are after is the Assos Intermediate. At £100 pounds its pretty pricey but you will get a LOT of use out of it. Keeps you warm and keeps you cool. The best long sleeve on the market!Brian B.0 -
Hi there.
I've never found long sleeve tops very useful. A short sleeve top and a good pair of arm warmers are much more versatile. Arm warmers are also invariably a much better fit than long sleeves.

Second that. Put 'em on when it's cool. Stick 'em in your pockets when it warms up.0 -

Same here, although I can never get a long sleeve jersey to fit my arms perfectly, I just annoyed, and tend to go for short sleeve jersey that fits and armwarmers that fit.0 -
Not just me then - I thought I was weird for not owning a long sleeve jersey (well I own one, but it only ever gets used as an extra layer over a skinsuit for riding to TTs) and just using SS tops with armwarmers.0

Horses for courses but I get plenty of wear out of long sleeve tops - arm warmers are OK if it's just a bit of early morning chill but anything more a long sleeve top seems the better option to me. Yes they are slightly looser but for training that's not really an issue.
it's a hard life if you don't weaken.0 -
