24 inch or 26?

hey all, i have a 07 bighit currently fitted with 26inch wheels and want to know peoples opinion on getting 24's? any1 had experience with both ect. my atomlabs are on there way out and am thinking about halos (white of course). my last bighit had 24's on but that was the older shape, would gettin 24's be a bad idea? i do alot of mixed riding, but im more into the singletracks, jumps and downhills. any help is always appriciated, thanks leigh
