Dont know any bike shops but when i was over there was plenty local cyclists. I can thoroughly recommend IL Carusos restaurant if you want to go for a 'really nice' meal.
Sorry for the off thread reply. :?Brian B.0 -
Was there a few years ago, great place. There's this one: Reaction Retail, Viale Nizza 58/60 (I think this is their web site: http://www.emporiobici.com/index.asp) and a sports store that also sells cycling clothing: Fiorile Sport, Corso Italia 245/b. Enjoy!FCN 7

Make sure you have plenty of the local lemon liquer - it's medicinal you know :?
What do I ride? Now that's an Enigma!0 -
Thanks for the reply's chaps,
I knew someone would come up with some leads !
Point taken about the Limoncello, I remember being in Milan about 3 years ago and getting plastered on a modified Limoncello ( lots of Vodka added !! ) when I left the table in the restaurant my legs just folded up underneath me, strange feeling just being drunk from the waist down !!
Looking forward to it now, I love Italy!
Cheers,

Not looking to buy a bike, but maybe a different race shirt or mitts or something.
I know its a longshot but, you never know!
Cheers,

I found one mate, actually bought a nice pair of Rudy Projects and a Sharin helmet from it last year whileon honeymoon. It's right beside the Hotel de la ville mate, there are lemon orchards at the bottom of the street and Fc Sorrento is down the street to the right.
Hope that helps.I love cabbage and bacon.0 -
I was in Sorrento a couple of years back and found a decent bike shop where I purchased a Jersey. As I remember it was in the area going away from the centre of Sorrento on one of the roads off the main drag.
Also while we are on the subject, I am driving to Lake Garda on Saturday so does anyone know of any bike shops in that area (south of the lake). Apologies for slight hi-jack0 -
Hi Pouch(not tried the saddle yet !)
Great place Sorrento - they close the main street at night to traffic.
The Herculainian bar (in main 'square') is a great place to people watch early evening - but the drinks ain't cheap !
Back to the bike shops - I found a good one round the coast(about 5kms away) which sold lightweight stuff.0 -

You mixed vodka with Limoncello????   Dear God, Limoncello (when made properly like I used to do it) is 47.5% without the vodka. I''m impressed it was only your legs that weren't working. I find it's usually all of me. :oops:0 -
I am in italy right now, and just left sorrento for roma. While driving from sorrento to roma I met the coolest guy....Enzo. Enzo is a driver for a service company and drove me and my family from sorrento to roma for the same price it would have been to take a train. he is an avid cyclist and MTB and does tours of MT. Visouvious above pompeii and cycling tours along the amalfi coast. THe bike shop that is linked above is awesome....you need to go and check out the new BH it is a work of art, and ask to get in touch with enzo who rode with them, or reply asap and i will give you his email and phone number if you want him to take you on a tour. When you talk to enzo you tell him you were referred bthe guy from the trip from sorrento to roma. And that i anxiously await the oregano seeds and not so much his mother in law. he will remember...let me know how it goes0
