this topic is as lomg as your arm, do a forum search and you'll get loads of info...I,va a cayo so my view is very biased but they are both IMO cracking bikes and you won't go wrong with either.0

I have a Cayo, very happy with it but the Planet X has a very good reputation too. I reckon if the Cayo was £100 more as until recently definately the Planet X but they are both back at £999 now. The Dura-Ace shifters and mechs are tempting on the Planet X and the wheelset it comes with is nice and light (it has a reputation as quite a light bike, stock.)
I like the way with Planet X you can customise, I'd upgrade a few bits while getting it - Ultegra cassette, Dura Ace or KMC chain, Ultegra brakes, Model B wheelset, Ultremo tyres. No pedals or saddle, comes to £1,108 (note I don't think this is at £999 quite any more, cheapest I can seem to spec it with saddle, no pedals, is £1,032.)0 -
I had the same turmoil you had but went for the Planet-X in white. There are just too many black bikes around for me.
Light, handles well and looks good.
I got the B wheels which are nice and are still perfect despite the pounding I gave them at the weekend.
I'm sure either bike will put a smile on your face.0 -
The white Planet X looks great from the photos, best of the lot. Don't know about how it would hold up to British/Irish weather though (although if it's your "good" bike and not planned to be out in the rain... Will encourage you to clean it regularly and keep it in good nick too ;-) From last weekend it is looking like we are getting a re-run of last summer ;-(0
