Spesh Tricross Sport and its brakes

I'm considering one of these (work scheme - have to go to Halfords, not sure I can be arsed with the special order stuff), but have seen that it may now be specced withmin-V brakes and not cantis, which for what I wany it for may well be a better option - anyone know definitively if and when they started making it with v-brakes?
