Formula The One Brakes

Hi,
I have a set of Formula the One brakes and seem to have a lot of travel in the brake lever before biting. I have even had a replacement front brake (Leaking) and it still feels the same. I have played about with the lever adjust and fcs with no luck. When the brakes do engage they are great but I wondered if there is anything I can do to reduce lever travel? Can I force more fluid into the system?

Thanks

Just use them and they will settle down.

have you fitted them? or did they come on the bike?

Can you adjust the levers, there should be a balljoint you can adjust with an allen key, might be 2.5 or 2mm iirc.

Least this is the case with other formulas.
The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

The brakes have a lever reach adjuster which move the lever in and out and an fcs adjuster which adjust the pad contact point. This makes very little change to the point of contact. I have been running the rear for about 5 months and my new front has had 2 outings. They feel pretty similar but just not impressed with the amount of dead travel before engagement.

    Cheers for the help.

have you bleed and de gassed them?

and are you talking about one or both that you have problems with them?
