Can anyone tell me the difference between the MicroSD maps and the TOPO maps available with the Edge 705? I am looking for street level European mapping (I am doing the Marmotte race and want to be able to record the ride info) but am not able to find what the difference between the two is, if, indeed there is any difference. Thanks, Gavin

The topo maps include contours - I have them on my 705, which is fine, but the detail (like minor roads) only comes up when you get the scale down to 500'. I'm thinking about getting the city navigator ones as well (just swap the card over) for pure road rides - was hoping someone could let me know whether the scale on the city nav allows you to see better detail at larger scales.
may the dawes be with you...

I have an Edge 705 with city navigator on an SD card and it does allow you to see better detail at alrger scales.

I bought my SD card for £29 plus £4 P&P from Pixmania - and it IS genuine kit and MUCH cheaper than anywhere else.

    Gavin,
What info do you want to record for the Marmotte? Not sure that having the maps is going to effect the recording in any way? All data should be recorded regardless.

Cool - thanks. Have seen the pixmania deal - that's the way I'll go, I think.
