Safest Route??

What is the safest route to get from Tower Of London-Canary Walf-Pontoon Dock(Flood Barrier) and back again to Aldgate?

I would maybe be attempting this Thursday Morning.

    I would do the route given in the TFL journey planner, except do the Cable Street CP to Limehouse Stn instead of heading down to Wapping Too many cobbled streets that way.
