fork steerer

hi...i just wonder, fork steerer tube is a too short. Can make long tube steerer? or throw in the bin ?

    it is posible for some forks to have steerers replaced, but normally a new steerer and crown and leg assy are needed (SC forks).

    So to answer your question with another What are the forks?
