I'm liking the Cosmic Carbone SLR - new 1595g clincher somewhere between the Carbone SL Premium and the CCU.

More including black R-SYS (still overpriced but in black) here:

I'd rather have wheels that are 200g lighter than paying a premium for heavy aluminium brake tracks..clearly one for triathletes and wimps!
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

Wimps who can't be bothered replacing a tub with frozen fingers on a winter training ride? I put my hand up :-)

And if your aero tubs are 1395g something's wrong!

Mainly I think they look good but I agree it's slightly puzzling who it appeals to - especially since they're reducing the Premium SL price 30% though I haven't yet seen a price for the SLR

quite a lot of spoke going on there, but if it's fairly aerodynamic and very stiff then it could be a very good wheel ... suspect they will be £1k or so however.

    Marketing-speak goes berserk

"The R-Sys Premium also saves weight with carbon hub caps and ti skewers-and these wheels come in black, not silver, so they're a little MEANER...." (my emphasis). Meaner? WTF that does that MEAN? How on earth is a colour "meaner"? Drivel Pure drivel.

well -they have to write something about them I guess - the alternative would be the worst press release in the world:

"they're just like the silver ones - only they're black.."

    What about,

"they're just like the silver ones-only they're black and cost more" :D

"New, revolutionary carbon spokes that are even wider and less aerodynamic than before"
"Laterally stiff, yet vertically compliant"....

"winter training rides" I should have added posers to the list as well!! If you're gonna ride a pair of carbon hoops on winter training rides, then you can afford to get your manservant to change the tyres for you!
