what aero helmet

anybody got any advice on aero helmets?

firstly are they worth it?

looking for one mainly for tri use, slightly concered about venting becuase I was thinking that I might do lanzerote ironman agian which is a bit warm.

    Hi there.

    Yes they are worth it. In terms of watts saved per pound spent they are more effective than an aero wheel set.

    What to buy depends on your budget, at around £100, both the entry level Giro and Bells are good hemlets, and venting is adequate. Closer to £200 you want to get them one that whistles when your head is at the wrong angle - Uvex maybe? Ask on the tritalk forum.

    To get better venting with a Bell just take the soft padding out,

    I washed mine and forgot to refit it before riding, rode a warm one last night and instead of sweat dripping onto my visor it never formed with the ventilation

    hmmm the urex ones, they worth the extra money? can see them for 200 hundred quid and i like the idea of the whistelning, but can't find any good reviews or group reviews? anyone got some links please?
