Cycling around Britain

Cycling to work yesterday I saw a young man at the roadside, on the A470 in the Conwy valley near Tal y Cafn, with his bike upside down. I stopped to help but it turned out he was just oiling it. Anyway his name is James Currin and he's cycling anti-clockwise around Britain. He's done about 2,400 miles so far. He's diverted down the 470 'cos the coast is such a pain to cycle along frow Conwy westwards isn't it? He's camping out as he goes and he's collecting for an armed forces charity. Fair play eh? Couldn't stay long and loads of questions occured to me after I left him. I got the impression, and I might be wrong, that he'd started this pretty much on the spur of the moment and hadn't done much planning, he was navigating with a road atlas.
Keep your eyes out for him, he's on a silver Dawes mountain bike with panniers and he's wearing camo' trousers.
