i am new to road biking ...love it
need to keep an eye on my machine like keep chain clean and bike properly lubricated etc
need a good not too detailed bke maintenance book to get me by on the simple things

The Park Tool site is good as is the sadly departed Sheldon Brown. A book can be helpful too though so I'd recommend Zinn and the Art of Road Bike Maintenance.
With that and these two web sites you'll be able to turn your hand to most maintenance jobs.0 -
