Hey Guys
Just wondering I have a Focus Superbud and it is my first full suss.
What can I expect from this tune up and how much might it cost approx?
Do they tune up front and rear shocks ect, and clean chains ect ?
Thanks so much

Depends what sort of service you want - there are many options from just a gear and brake tune, to full strip and bearing replace. call a shop and get a quote. Some shocks and forks need to be sent away for a full service.0

Hey thanks for that.
No all I really want is to check pressure in shocks, make sure brakes are tight, bleed brakes if need be, and tune the gears up ect.
Dont need a strip deff.
What Do you rekon £30.000 -
Usually 15 quid to set gears up, and adjust brakes. A little more to bleed them. £30 quid should cover that a nd a quick check over - a good shop will call you if they find anything else wrong.
Shock pressure and settings is down to you really, do you have a pump? Sag levels are personal.0 -
Hey
Dont have a pump and never have pumped up shocks before, quite new to the game.0 -
well get one (or two) suitable for the pressures that you need for the shoch and fork.
Pressues should be checked before each ride. Or damage can happen."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Hey
You need two pumps for the shock and fork ?
Or have I miss read.
They are both fox mind you.0 -
if they are both fox, you should just need one, but you definately need one, as said already, you should check your air before each ride.0

Thanks guys will do.
Got it booked in with bike shed in cardiff for 18.00
They seem really friendly and they apparantly know what they are on about.
Will buy a pump as well.0 -
Go buy a book and do it yourself, seriously its easy and enjoyable.0

Ditto what RussAlf said, buy a book or when you take it in ask if you can hang around and watch what they're doing and how they are doing it. My LBS allows me to see what they are doing to my bike or even let me do it with their spanner monkey watching and advising.

may be maybe not. it all depends on the pressures you need,
Eg: try reading 17psi on a 300psi gauge. and try reading 220psi on a 100psi gauge."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
