I like it. I think it had to reflect modern design, otherwise it would have been a dogs dinner mix of modern and retro.

The Super Record rear mech looks like its made from laminated door mats.

Sorry, I clicked on the photo of the two fetching lasses first

As for the gear itself, I prefer DA appearance at the moment :?

What do I ride? Now that's an Enigma!

baggsy the one on the left.

(also - I think that the shifters look pretty good. They look like they will be comfy in use and lets face it - the ergo lever was well overdue some sort of design update!)

Yeah, that's the one I had my eye on...I don't think Miss Campagsarge would approve though!

Anyway, I would agree that they had to make a design change to move with the times. At first I did not like the look of the levers at all but now I am warming to them.

Aren't levers for holding onto? The aesthetics are interesting in the absence of levers to grab at in the flesh but surely they will stand or fall on the ergonomics (and how they work with in the particular shape of your hands)?

Underneath marketing hyperbole, the lever changes are rationalised by Campagnolo in terms of ergonomics which to me at least bodes well.

Do I spot a dual pivot caliper too? The caliper on the right in the pic appears to have a very off-centre pivot point

Or was Record always like that?

Great - that leaves the one on the right for me (if I wasn't happily married etc etc)...

    Kit looks lovely too!
