Hi,

Could anyone throw some advice upon choosing between the two forks?

Heres the Manitou Minute Elite: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=21347

And Fox, no doubt you'll know the Float !

I've never ridden a Manitou, please help you experienced bunch!

And can anyone clarify what the difference between the Manitou MRD range and their Elite range is?

The MRD one is here:

ok now I've been told this before but after they got a 9/10 review in one of the recent magazines i did start wondering. Why wouldn't you buy?

Manitou have always had reliability issues for many years

If there to go on your Heckler I would put the Rock Shox 454
on your bike, if you dont like the wind down adjuster then buy
    the Fox

they're going on a mojo, the WTF mojo build comes with them as standard spec so thought it may be worth considering?

Hayes have not had time to sort the Manipo problems out yet.

Every Manitou fork i have tested has been poor, and that is being nice.

in 99 RS were poor compared to Marz..... but now RS are good again X years after Sram sorted them out....

And now Marzocchi have looked at the success Manitou had shipping production to the far east and have decided to do the same!

Anyway, I agree with the above - Manitou have always produced forks that look good on the spec sheet, but until they can again achieve consistant levels of reliability, they are only good for sponsored riders.

I think there is only one fork to put on a Mojo:

Pricey, yes, but then so is a Mojo. 150mm travel and 1700g.
