Hi all,

Am faily new to mountain biking but im looking for some single track/ XC trails in wiltshire at beginner/intermediate level.

I live just outside of melksham so anywhere in wiltshire / within an hour of here would be fine.

    if you look at the ridgeway loop thread james there are a few of us who meet up to ride on the ridgeway near swindon. Any good to you?
    Why use brakes? Falling off is a much quicker way to stop

    Yup the ridgeway looks good i might try and get out there one evening! Ive heard things about around devises/earlstoke but no detailed information on where to go around there?

    I live in Melksham as well and there are routes local to the town. One I like to do is go along the canal path to Devizes and go up onto the Ridgeway at roundway. Its about 20 miles and you get to climb caen locks and of course come back down and the ridgeway at this end is not too busy. A book that I bought is called "Mountain Bike Guide - Wiltshire" available on amazon. Some good routes in there.
