Tour 2008 : Spectating Paris ?

Hi,

Wondered if anyone has any tips on spectating on the Tour in Paris on the final day ? Best places to get any sort of view - not been before , am guessing that the Champs Elysees too busy ?
Any info welcome - thanks

    My sixth time this year, can't wait!!! You have to pick yyor side of the road early!! if you want to get up to the champs elysee after the race and grab some autographs etc then I'd suggest being around the place de la concorde, on the other side of the road from the river. However, the best view I've ever had, and will probably go again, is on the little hill where the Tuilleries meets the place de la concorde, you get a great view of the riders coming round, and of the big screen to catch the sprint finish, but it's difficult to get up to the champs elysee afterwards from there

    Thats great - thanks for the info, much appreciated ! Wasnt looking forward to doing battle on the Champs Elysees !
