I'm looking to change crankset and bb.
Currently have Truvativ powerspline which came with my Giant XTC 3.5.
Any advice, and does anyone know what my current crank and bottom bracket weighs?

Cranks are round about 860g - so nearly 1200g in total.
What budget do you have?0 -
Thanks
Around the 100 mark, was looking at the xxt!
is there specific sizes and are they easy to fit?Carbon is a mans best freind0 -
if the BB shell is not already faced this will have to be done at a bike shop.Giant TCR advanced 2 (Summer/race)
Merlin single malt fixie (Commuter/winter/training)
Trek superfly 7 (Summer XC)
Giant Yukon singlespeed conversion (winter MTB/Ice/snow)

One size fits all for new XT! Well, get the right chainring size.
Easy to fit, but as this uses an external bottom bracket, the frame will need facing. That needs to be done at a shop, and will ensure the bearings run parallel and square to the axle.
Cheaper option, with cartridge BB (no need to face) is this:

Chainset just 646g (BB about 270g)0
