Poor dude was decending with one other break away rider and had a crash.. I am sure he would have taken the victory.. Hope he has not done too much damage

He landed on his feet, down that drop. I thought he was a gonna! So, too did the tv guys. They didn't replay it, until he came home.
Don't like to be critical of the guy who explodes the lead group, but his bike handling is like Russian Roulette, especially on decents. He has a phenomenal record for crashing.
Amstel Gold and Lombardy, last season. I've already seen him come off 4 times this season!

he landed on his feet? I am sure he said in the interview that he landed in the top of a tree.. This is the best I could do for a pic from the replay..

That's what I was told, straight after it happened. I was surprised too, if it's correct. A hell of a drop, if not for the trees. We'll find out I'm sure.

    Right, here it is folks.

Those commentators are on the ball - they spotted Schleck was going to crash before he did. If it was Duffers, he'd only have noticed after he crossed the finish line

..........not only for the stage, but he was also in line to take a lead in the overall - double DOOOH! but I guess he's counting his lucky stars after that wipeout

I think it pales into comparison when you think about winning a bike race or being in the leader's jersey when you saw his face at the finish. He knew he was a lucky so and so and was just thankful to be alive. You just think "so what if I'm now out of the running, at least I'm not dead" !!!

That clip was featured on BBC Breakfast News with the glib comment "Make sure you always wear your helmet when you're cycling" - because of course, there's a high chance you'll plunge down a ravine on your commute into Dorking

How come Aunty Beeb are only interested in cycling when it's
    a) The Tour
    b) a drugs story
    c) a bit of car-crash tv

Yeah I spotted that too. Numpty said 'those helmets are good'
Coz they'll reall help if you fall down a ravine
I dunno maybe the chap did bang his head, but I can't help feeling the helmet had little to do with his survival!

To be fair - didn't see all of the item, though, as I was in the kitchen at the time - my local BBC news did a piece this week on the guys from Southampton who won RAAM.

As soon as that (plus there's always the off-chance that Duffers would have got Frank mixed up with his brother Andy)? Crikey!
