1948 raleigh super sport

I have an elderly neighbour who used to ride one of these bikes. I'm trying to find any information about them but only found a small article on the sheldon brown site (hero). Does anyone have any info or pictures about this bike. Ultimately i'd like to find one for him.

    I parked my bike at Basel railway station a couple of weeks ago next to a Raleigh Super Sport, I guess from the 40s or 50s. You see a lot of old bikes out here, mostly ex Swiss military ones, but I remember being surprised to see a Raleigh and read the rather taty decal. So there are some still in existence
