And what a mixed bag it was. First off being a mail order bike it came in bits so it took my an hour or two to sort everything out. Covered about 4 odd miles of mixed off road trails to gravel paths and road. Really really enjoyed myself I must say even with the occassional downpour! However my rear mech keeps jumping and skipping and no matter how much adjustment, it just wouldn't settle. So i'll need to have another look tomorrow. All in all it was great to be back out on two wheels!

    Great!

It may be worth visiting your local shop to get them to set it up, if you're struggling.

Well worth a few quid, in my opinion

Have you looked at Park Tools' web site for advice on setting up gears? It's such a simple job and you can save the money towards shoes, SPD pedals and other expensive upgrades.

Is the adjustments don't work you might have a bent gear hanger. Hope you get it sorted and have LOTS OF FUN :D
