I started using SportTracks at the beginning of the year and download the data from my Garmin after every ride and i have built up a considerable amount of data.
Is there anyway to back up the data incase i lose it for some reason or so i can save it at the end of the year and start afresh in 2009?

    Hiya,

Mine i set to automatically backup (3rd party application).

Think the default place for your log book is in my documents, and is the name of your profle. In my case Will Bevan's History.log

Just look for that file and make a backup

as for starting a fresh in 09, i dont think there is a need to, since all the reports can be set on a date range, but thats just my opinion. Any particular reason you want to start a new?

    Thanks

    Will

Hi, Thanks for that Will. No real reason I would need to start afresh in 2009 if all reports can be run by date range as you say.
I really should of looked more carefully before asking the question..lol

  • It's a great program for sure. In the later versions of Sportstracks (2.x) the file is called myname.logbook and not .log

It's under loginname\documents in Vista and My Documents in Windows XP

I am so glad sporttracks is around, best free piece of software i have, so mch so i donated to the chaps, all the plugins are great, love the ability with the overlay plugin to compare rides (speed/HR etc over distance or time) etc etc
