Specialized Front Mech E-Type or Multi Fit???

I ride the 08 Stumpy Expert FSR and have now bent to hell the rather anonymous Deore LX front mech - so a good time to fit a nice shiny new M770 XT jobbie. :D

Question is - is the existing one an E-Type fit or not? Looks like it is bolted right onto some kind of hanger on the frame itself coming up off the rear pivoted chainstays rather than coming up off the BB.....will a standard one fit? I will have time to take it off later so should know more but anyone who knows up front would be very handy!

    IIRC it is a special one of the frame. talk to your Spesh. dealer.
