Went down to halfods on sunday to have a look at some bikes n they had lots of gt's and konas in so i had a ride on a few.
And i ended up settling for a gt aggressor xcr. I think its a model thats only made for halfords but i found it really nice! super light with some great components for the price. and it was the one that felt really nice to ride and just the right size for me.
Only problem is that the one i rode in the shop wa apparently a 20" frame, which is what i've ordered, but it didnt feel that big i'm gonna be so annoyed if it turns up n its the wrong size (but tbh i am 6ft2 so it could be right...not so sure tho)
But anyways, a week on wednesday and i'm gonna be back on the trails!!!!!

My wife is 6ft but has a 36" inside leg so I imagine your legs are roughly the same length. She is more than happy with a 20" frame bike for step over height. You may want to check the reach though, adjust the saddle position and consider a longer stem in the future if necessary. If Halfords are setting it up for you, remember to check everything again after you get it home.
Have fun

yeah, do that cos my 07 Fury from Halfords the pedal arms fell off first time out - not impressed.0

interestingly though about frame size - I'm 6'2" and prefer an 18" frame - i don't like the reach of the 20" - feels too long and the bike doesn't feel as 'throwabout'.0

If you have tried the 20 inch, and you liked it, then it is the right choice!
Now funilly enough, I am 6ft, and find the 20inch too short lol - just goes to highlight how we all like different set ups.0 -

I'm the same, my 17" is perfect for me and i'm 6 1". There is a lot of adjustment to be had with bars/controls, saddle and seat post. If it felt right in the shop then it will feel right when you get it 8)http://stcolin.pinkbike.com

As long as you've ample wedding tackle clearance :shock:Giant Defy 4 2014

i think i'm probably longer in the arms too...most long sleeved tops normally reach just over midway of my forearm lol (i must be a freak!!).so i think i was comfortable with the longer reach
i've been thinkin bout keepin my wedding tackle in order n want a pair of cyclies for that...but wherever i look ones with pads are cheaper than ones without!!! i dont want pads! lol0
