Kamikazee wild life

What a nightmare! The last week or so has been plagued with random attacks from wildlife. The first I had a pidgeon fly into my chest on my ride home, face of feathers on a busy road is always a winner.
Then a couple of days later I had a fluffy bunny run alongside me for a bit and then dash straight into my front wheel! Was travelling at about 19mph but luckily the bunny didn't get caught in my spokes but was flipped up into the air and hurled in a massive arc above me! I watched in fascination as it flew above and along side me and came down just in front of me in the verge!
And now this morning I had - dunno maybe a fox or a big hare - dart straight out of a field and into the space between my front wheel and cranks! bit of jerking, hard bone and fur against my legs and it was gone. Was pretty early about 3.30am so wasn't really awake to see what happened. I just count myself lucky that on all three occasiions no damage to me or my bike!
Is it the time of year or something when wild life just has had enough and randomly throws itself under the wheels of passing cyclists??

They're probably not expecting to encounter a cyclist at 3.30 am "A cyclist has nothing to lose but his chain"

You can just imagine the chat on the badgerworld.com forums "..then at 1am on Sunday, this unidentified mechanical object, think it might be one of those velocipede thingies ...""Consider the grebe..."0

"Shortly before the 2003 assembly elections, The Sun revealed that Davies had been visiting a well-known cruising spot near a motorway lay-by. When challenged as to what he had been doing there, Davies initially denied being there, then told reporters that he had been going for a short walk, adding: "I have actually been there when I have been watching badgers." Davies was forced to stand down as Labour candidate in the election."<a>road</a>0 -

I had a bee fly through the air vents in my helmet the other week. That was fun!
I've never dismounted and removed my helmet as fast.

Had to wash the blood & feathers off the front forks of my bike after driving back from France last week. Bird must have mis-timed its pass on the Autoroute.0

I did the dismounting, while the wasp concentrated on my 'helmet' ! The bugger managed to sting me several times before I despatched it  :shock:0
