well im a kinda newbie in the fact i just replaced my old 1991 fully working still Trek 930 2 weeks ago with a Trek Top Fuel EX7 . I had been using my 1991 trek up until 2 weeks ago been a great bike.but god how things have changed.. i kinda thinking maybe i should have gone for a hardtail rather than full Sus. but its been great fun on some bumpy downhills in the chilterns where i live.

anyone had this prob...i noticed after a run uphill it was popping between two gears tried adjusting on the handlebars and even on flat road kept popping in and out. then the following day got on bike to ride to shop and ground to halt the chain completely bent and the link shaft bent to side.. its going back under warranty shall i change for an sram chain instead of shimano?? its under warranty?? wonder why it did break bike not been bashed??

That looks like a EX Fuel not a Top Fuel!??!!

I bet your gear problem was just the new cables stretching, a few select turns on the shifter adjusters and it would have been sorted. Unlucky about that damage, just one of them things that can happen if the gears are not set-up well.
