Wipperman link on SRAM chain? (10 speed)
Just brought two new SRAM 10 speed chains (1070). Whilst trying to fit I discover that the 10 speed chains have a 'powerlock' - not a 'powerlink' - the difference been you can use a powerlock once only. Brilliant... Not.
So can I buy myself a couple of Wipperman 10sp link and used these with the 1070?
TIA

It would seem that you could but I don't know for sure. What I do know is that a friend of mine broke a 10 speed chain while we were out riding in the middle of nowhere and we fixed it with a 9 speed Sram master link. It got him home and without any noise or damage
to the driveline. And yes, those Sram 10 speed "powerlocks" don't work like their 9
speed cousins. Found that out a week or two ago. Going to give the Wipperman 10
speed link a try.

I've got an 10 speed Sram chain which came with a powerlock link. I had exactly the same thought when I realized I couldn't reuse it.
Anyway I've been using a quick link from Decathlon which is for an Sram chain. You get 2 for about £3.

The one in the picture says 9sp. I've just checked mine and it has 10s marked on it. Looks like they have the wrong picture.0
