Hi,
Has any of you had anything from this seller based in China on Ebay? http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/sun030818/
He sells team cycle jerseys and matching shorts for around £30 including postage.
I was just wondering if these are originals, or copies. If copies what is the quality like?
Thanks in Advance.....

Non bib shorts? Doesn't seem normal on team kit.0

For your information...
My local bike shop in HK is a registered Trek, Giant etc. dealer. He sells team jerseys for HK$600 to 900 (that's about 40 quid up). The cost of a small airmail packet from HK to UK (about 500g) is about 5 pounds sterling.
That makes me think that either:
1. Cycle wear is much cheaper in mainland China
2. It's been obtained through less than legitimate means
3. It's not the real deal
I would proceed with caution - if something looks too good to be true, it usually is..Head Hands Heart Lungs Legs0 -
According to the ad: "Brand = Discovery Coolmax."
The genuine Cofidis kit is Nalini, so definitely knock-offs.
Also, can you really see any pro team NOT using bibs??0 -
Saw someone on another forum who bought one and said it was fake.Contador is the Greatest0

Ebay!
China!
If that doesn't get the alarm bells ringing I don't know what will.0 -
Love the sizing chart....before length and after length!!!I'd rather walk than use Shimano0

I think they might just be fake.
I bought a Brietling Navitimer from a street market in Beijing.
The price for a real one is about £2K, this was £12-ish
I was willing to spend £12, not £2K on a watch.
It keeps very good time.
When I had the battery replaced, the bloke at the jewellers said it was actually a pretty reasonable mechanism inside.
I think I'd have to try those shorts on though...the size without wearing it's greatly stretchy0 -
There's also a further give away on the Cofidis kit.........
It has a Willier logo, last time I checked they rode Time bikes and wore bright red jerseys. So unless they have changed their kit and bikes for TdF then I would say this is defo not genuine.
See Probikekit ad for Cofidis kit.

I quite look the colours and design of the ebay jersey though!0 -

ah fair enough! When it said "new" I thought, it meant 2008. The description obviously means new as in unworn.0 -
You can be 99% certain that anything suspiciously cheap on Ebay from China is counterfeit. It is a massive industry, but the west is largely powerless to stop it. Ebay is the counterfeiter's paradise. Some of the stuff is actually of reasonable quality, but it's never made out of the same materials as the genuine item.
Got some limited edition "Adidas" trainers for my son at Christmas. £30, while the real ones are quite rare and fetch over £200. Ordered from some bloke in Leicester but the box arrived direct from China. We all know they are knock-offs, but the attention to detail is phenomenal and he's as pleased as punch with them. Adidas haven't missed out on a sale because I wouldn't pay £200 for trainers.0
