Unfortunately I have to send my Look back due to what appears to be chain stay failure. I've only ridden the bike 10 or so times. The shop i bought it from said that they wouldn't refund me as it had to go back to Look, which is fair enough, although I thought they had to give u a refund. My main problem is that I've also had a problem with my training bike and so I'm bike less... anybody know how long it usually or might take Look to sort me out? What am I likely to get seeing as they no longer make my 386?

Cheers.

Tell your LBS that according to the sale of good act, your contract of sale is with them and therefore ask them to clearly state their faulty goods policy. Get on your local Trading Standards website for more details - if you paid with your credit card, then your in luck, card companies are very hot in terms of sorting out errant retailers. It would be fair to give yur LBS 4 weeks or so to send the frame back to assess the damage etc - but it's up to them to make good your losses.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

Okay cool. I expected them to want to have the frame properly checked. I did pay with a credit card also. Am I within my rights to ask for a refund if the frame is deemed faulty?

A bike frame is an intergral part of the product, if it fails then the product itself is faulty.

If they fail to replace then contact your local trading standards.
