campagnolo shifters

i dont suppose anyone can tell me what the words "micron" on chorus hoods and "ultra" on record hoods refers too?
i have checked the campagnolo website but no luck.

    Micron refers to the ratchet mechanism retained only by Chorus and Record shifters since Centaur and below went to the cheaper and simpler Escape mechanism.

    Ultra referes to the antifriction coated and drilled ratchet in the Record shifters.
    I'd rather walk than use Shimano
