Are silver DMR V12 Mags painted silver?

Hi,

Does anyone know if the silver V12 Mag pedals are painted silver or if they're just bare polished metal like the non-mag versions?

    think they would be painted? read somewhere that bare mag oxidises does'nt it?

    What would happen then if they were scratched down to the bare metal?

    Mine are still shiny where the paints come off.
    If the silver are painted it wont take long for it to come off. :wink:

    I have them. After hitting a few rocks and riding the silver paint comes off and reveals like a black primer underneath. Looks kind of ugly so I just used a dremel and sanded the black primer off to show the magnesium silver colour now they look ok, just a bit duller.

    I did initially buy them in silver cos I thought the scratches and wear wouldn't make them look tacky

    I have the black ones and the poor standard of paint on them is the only thing wrong with them.

    i have silver mags on my trials bike so you can imagine the abuse they take!! but from new they never had paint on them and as far as i am aware mag dosent oxidise

    i have silver ones (v12 mag) and they are painted, as they have worn, the metal underneath looks more like white. i have black ones (v12 mags) too and they reveal whitish metal too

    How odd - I have silver V8s that have been abused for about 5 years with no sign of any other colour.

    Two much newer bikes have black V8s - they paint falls off even if you look at them.

    I pimp'd my pedals one day with the blue kit but after one ride on the skyline there was no blue left on 'em. Biggest waste of money ever.
