Ok folks

Can anyone tell me why Mavic put a red spoke on their wheels Is this a gimmick or is there a reason behind it?

    the red spoke came from the "ksyrium es" wheels
    the red is a symbol of the HELIUM wheels, which were red
    the red spoke on the "ksyrium es" was because they (as the name implies) a "special edition" to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the making of the HELIUM wheel set.
