Sportive bike for TT/Tri??
When I got into road cycling last year I bought a Specialized Roubaix Elite because I liked the ride comfort and got a good deal on it. Now that I've started doing TTs and triathlon is the bike still fit for purpose?
I can get the front end quite low (reversible stem, spacers etc) but am I better getting a racier bike or just keep upgrading my current steed with better groupset, lighter wheels etc?
Cheers

Hi there.
It depends...
...on your goals and your budget. If you're getting near the sharp end of the race, or if you're yin the hunt for age-group selection, or age-related time trial classifications, then maybe your bike will hold you back. Otherwise you'll be fine!
On the other hand, if you've got £1000+ of disposible income burning a whole in your pocket why not treat yourself!
Cheers, Andy0
