Anyone else tried this!
I saw this in one of the cycling mags, downloaded it and gave it a go last night. You have to have a nokia smartphone though!

Works well with some good graphs and mapping data based on your ride.

Not yet and will need to wait till next month to up grade my phone to use it and im thinking wethers its better to get a nokia that can do the gps tracking or get a garmin 205.
One question is do you have to pay forthe gps time on your phone as the sales person i was talking to went on about 6 months free gps?Nothing in life can not be improved with either monkeys, pirates or ninjas

Yes I know, If it takes off i'm sure there will be kits available!
As it was the first time I have used it I kept it in my pocket and used my normal heart rate monitor and computer.
Once it's been out for a while I think it could be a cheap way to log your distances and times with mapping but you have to have a smartphone.0 -
it's funny that they are running the James Cracknell ads in the Cycling press with pics of his N82 on his stem and they can't sell you one! I'll have to stick with my 305 for the time being. Would be good to get some voice guided nav as well though..0

Nokia are giving away free bike mounts as part of their marketing drive at the (Nokia) Windsor Triathlon this weekend.....0

...where I picked a couple up this afternoon.
Suit N82/N95. Zip-tie on.
Free to good homes, just let me know.0 -
I installed sports tracker at the start of the year and used it several times. I didn't find it very accurate as it was stored in my jacket pocket as I didn't have a bike mount. It's free to use and it's easy to transfer the files over on to your computer. The biggest issue was that my laptop couldn't handle the very large files very well when using nokia's online website and of course the phone's battery doesn't last very long either. The longest ride I used it for was about 60 miles. My phone normally sits in my saddlebag, I wonder if the phone will pick up a signal in there..._______________________

Mr P - do you have any of those mounts left ? I bung my N95 in my pocket and it works really well.
Cheers !0 -
Used Sportsdo on LeJog to provide real time tracking onto a sponsorship website.....despite a few hours downtime people could follow us in near real time every day. I used a separate GPS bluetooth device (cost a tenner) paired to the phone as my phone didn't have gps capability - phone uploadsthe coordinates
