Looking for race audio without commentator
I work in audio post-production for film and TV, and am looking for audio from cycling racing coverage with no commentary track overlaid. Is there a stream that runs it? The Norwegian coverage of the Dauphiné had a half-hour of it and some colleagues and I realized how useful it would be in our soundbank. As you can imagine, setting up a field recording of cycling sound effects is a costly proposition in both money and logistics, especially if you want a crowd in there.
So I'm wondering if anyone knows of a source that would have those recordings or of a source we could record them from. As with any sound taken from another producer's recordings, all legal considerations would be treated before use. For now, I want to test it to some footage I have and see if it's workable. Enquiries to Rai and Versus have gone unanswered. We probably would not want to pay for the clearance of any recording of the Tour de France, either. All bike races sound the same, but don't cost the same.
