seatpost shims

bought a seatpost for the merlin in 27mm diameter. the seatube is actually 27.2mm diameter. would i be able to shim this tiny difference? shoudl i not bother? or shoudl i change the post to one the right size?

get one that is the correct size.

27.2 is the most common size.

if i could possibly avoid changing i will. could it be shimmed??
