Hi all,

First post for me, just signed up. Great site, loads of content and it looks like a pretty well occupied forum too! Long story short I used to do alot of mountain biking in my teens and i've finally got around to getting my own bike and get back into the swing of things, i'm 25 now. Managed to pick this up, and get it next week:

It's all changed since I've been away though there are still alot of fimiliar brands about. Anyway, hopefully i'll find all the info I need on here

Cheers

    Hi,

Hope you enjoy your new bike! As you say, lots of information and knowledgable people around here. Have you got helmet, gloves, shoes, etc yet? If you keep up the riding you'll probably start to 'need' more and more stuff.

Yes, got a pair of Viper clippies and Shimano M540 spd's. Will pick a helmet up in the next day or so. Obviously I didn't want to order one online without trying one first! I'm sure I'll find a few more things to buy over the next few weeks/months/years!

Anybody rate BeOne bikes? The one I've bought has decent components, Deore/LX and Darts upfront and for the price it seemed a bargain....

BeOne are a lesser known brand, but they seem to sell very well equipped bikes.
Didn't Bas de Bever (spelling?) race DH for BeOne a few years ago?

Welcome back to mountain biking,I was in the same situation as you a few years back having ridden loads as a teenager I got the urge to get a bike again ! I had just turned 30 and thought I might as well give it another go,so far its been brilliant !!
Hope you enjoy your return to the sport as much as i have. :D

I bought a BeOne Drone - astonishing value. They are very 'Euro XC' race type bikes with the geometry, but if that is what you want.

To be honest, I don't know if the geometry will suit, but then again it's a gamble I took with ordering online. I know that I have some way to adjust that with bars, stems and the saddle but hopefully it will fit good.
