Got a new Altura jacket last week and have managed to get it splattered in oil. Any tips on how to get it out? It's 100% Nylon shell if that helps.

Cheers in advance,

Jed

Is this a waterproof jacket? If not, just try with warm water & washing up liquid

If it is, I imagine anything that will shift the oil (like washing up liquid) will also get rid of the water repellent finish and you'd need to reproof it.

Any washing advice in the labels on the jacket??

If there isn't a waterproofing agent to concern yourself about, WD-40 is good for oil stains too; spray the affected area & blot with kitchen roll. Then just wash the garment as per the care label.

Try Swarfega (on a non-visible part first). Works fine on my work trousers...
