The disc on the front of my bro's bike has a little flick to on side(like when a when has a slight buckle) which cause's a slight rubbing noise once every rotation and i was wonder if a. i should just leave it and maybe after some use the force from the caliper will straighten it or b. buy the park tool rotor truing fork a gently ease it back to straighten it. The disc it's self is new and hasn't taken any damage and it's not that bad as you can only really see the slight flick when the disc is between the caliper.

Just read some user reviews on the hayes rotors on crc and a few people said they bend/warp a bit easier than most, maybe it's just them i don't know.

I've got the park tool & it works well, but I've got a few bikes to look after. If it was just the one, you can use a small adjustable spanner to straighten discs. Just take it easy, coz you could end up making it worse.

Hayes discs seem to be made of some kind of chocolate.

In fact, all the Hayes brakes I've seen have been seriously unreliable - the seals seem to leak after about 6 months for no reason & pistons refuse to centre.

Hadn't looked in there but have now, think i will go down the slightly cheaper route on this except instead of using a adjustable wrench i'll get that park tool as it's only £12 ish, not going to get that gauge dial thing i'll do it by eye.

I straightened a shimano disc using 3 small adujustable spanners I got it straight enough to stop it scraping but after a ride the wobble was back I did it 3 times iirc before I gave up and bought a new disc. The shop I bought the new disc from said if the disc is warped because it has overheated you will never get it back you can only straighten it if it has been bent in a accident
