A while back I got into a daft altercation with a car driver on my morning commute, long story short - car went past, some edjit shouted something out the window at me, caught them up later in traffic and banged on the edjits window and cycled off. Anyway they followed me to work and we had a bit of an arguement, him mumbling something about THATS MA CAR YA RADGE!!!!! i decided that i wasn't going to roll about in the works carpark with some numpty and walked into the building, halfway through the door and the numpty kicked the back wheel breaking a couple of spokes and knackering the wheel.

Reported it to the police who were great when they came out, never thought anything else about it and today got a letter through the door, the courts decided the go after him and the numpty has agreed to pay compensation.

RESULT!!!

    Christ.

You should go for the ASBO while you've got him pinned to the ropes.

Happy enough with the money, he's having to pay plenty more than the new back wheel cost. Saying that it would have been better if the police had ASBO'd him and taken his car away, maybe then he'd have to cycle to work and I could overtake him and crack him on the back of the heid with my lock as i pass. That would be class

Did you have a witness to back you up? I had a some random idiot car driver purposely run me off the road, and even though I got his number and had go to hospital to have my chest checked over, the police refused to proceed without a witness! They wouldn't even call him to see if he'd confess! How limp wristed was that from the Met?!?

    that sux!

I was hit by a van, who then fled the scene before i composed myself enough to get the plate. I put in a claim to the Motor Insurers Bureau on their untraced drivers scheme and was awarded cashmoney for my broken ribs. They made an offer of £1000, which I probably could have got increased, but it was hassle free with no medical exams or further interviews etc so just took it.

TBH I didn't really expect anything to come from it so the grand was a nice surprise!

nothing to do with the fact that you are in london then? my car insurance just keeps getting lower and lower. £212 fully comp this year for a 2.0i

Its the same scheme if you get hit by an uninsured driver and at the end of the day, i got broken bones from some guy who just drove away.

I did have a witness, one of the guys from work was walking in just as the guy was muttering about touching his car and kicking the back wheel.
