I'm sorry to hear that. It sounds nasty. I hope you recover well. I was hit by a car this morning. Injuries were no where near as bad as yours but my bike is in a state so I share some of your pain.0

Bad luck to both of you - hope you are back on the bike soon. FWIW, crashes on the track are less common IME than in road races, but when it all goes Pete Tong there is nothing you can do to avoid smashing into someone that falls in front of you
I'm doing the Dragon Ride again this Sunday - after breaking my collarbone doing it last year, I am a little nervous :x
PS Congrats Henderson on typing with one finger - it's a major PITA having only one good hand0 -
Sorry to hear about your crash, sounds nasty. Just out of interest, were you wearing a helmet when you crashed and did it prevent more serious injuries? Not that I am trying to stir anything up you understand :twisted:The gear changing, helmet wearing fule.

Given up waiting for Fast as Fupp to start stalking me0 -

get better soon mate. I was on the phone to a colleague earlierwho is recovering from a shoulder operation and finding life in pain in the a*se and with only one operational arm.
I spent 3 months without the use of an arm a couple of years back after a football injury (led to me retiring from football, no great loss to the nation). I thought it was bad when I was in pain, but it just starts to get depressing when the pain goes, and you just have to keep asking people for help, it's ok at first but you know deep down that your really just starting to annoy them once you've asked them to cut your dinner for the 10th day running. That said I became a dab hand at wiping my own bum with the use of one hand when the bog roll holder is one the side of your bad arm!
I hope that your recovery is speedy.0 -
Ouch! Get well soon mate.
Bronzie, what time are you planning to set off on Sunday?
I'm giving Dai (oldwelshy) about an hours head start, but I doubt that will keep the chopsy bugger behind me0 -

 OUCH!!! I know just how much a busted collarbone hurts!!!
Get well soon bud and wait until it's fully healed before getting back in the saddle!!Heaven kicked me out and Hell was too afraid I'd take over!!!
Fighting back since 1975!!
Happy riding

 Ooyah! That's gotta smart
Get into recovery mode of mind as fast as you can. As for getting a plate installed - is it gonna be a Titanium one? Might make all the difference compared to a steel one when you get back racing? Afterall, seems unfair to have a permanent weight disadvantage :!:
Speak to your surgeon right now and demand the latest exotic materials (do they do a Reynolds 953 collar-bone plate?)
What do I ride? Now that's an Enigma!0
