i have just bought a set of shimano 105 r561 silver wheels and noticed that when the tubes and tyres are fitted the valve hole is at a slight angle and when i tighten the valve stem up it isnt flush with the wheel will this be ok it just shows a few threads under the valve nut on one side

Is it not just the tube that needs lining up?

    is this the rear one?

Look careful and you will see that the whole rim is offset to one side - not just the valve hole!

The offset rim apparently evens up the spoke tension to take the 'dishing' into account - mine are the same. they'll be fine - I think I did without the nut actually - when they are pressurized you don't need them.
