Hi everyone, I am looking for a cheap first bike for my lanky daughter and have found what on the surface appears to be the one in the form of the curiously named Mongoose Rockadile  Anyone know If they are any good and know what the sizes are as they have S,~M,L and XL inplace or anything sensible.
Secondly anyone know of or have contact details for winstanleysbikes.co.uk? They seem seriously cheap but the lack of any contact details and a mail address which is different form the web address is making me a tad suspcious.
Ta.

Looks perfectly reasonable for the money - I'd find it at a local shop and try it out.0 -
gary wintansleys are cheap but they not a very good shop they based up the road from me on the outskirts of wigan..
do a google search for them and read the horror stories search on here to there was a thread not to long ago about there lack of service and falier to deliver.
if like me you can pop into he shop in person and buy the goods there and then.... then you will get a cracking deal but if your doing a mail order then i'd probably stay well clear or order at your own risk.....
there are plenty of good mail order sites on the net.

Thanks guys. Managed to find a contact number for Winstaleys but they didn't seem overly helpful and kept me hangin on the phone when I asked questions. Mind you the bike is seriously cheap (£169 ver. £239 for the one in the link)
Might have a look around here and see If I can find something equivalant.
Just went to go out on mine and I've got another b@$t@rd puncture. The flints in the New Forest are a right pain. Have just ordered some sludge tubes from Chainreaction to see If that helps.'77 Specialized MTB

Not that its any use whatsoever. This company is absolutely useless. They sent me a dented frame. They told me to send pics in. Did that, they said fine to build the bike if i needed to as the pics were sufficient to get a partial refund. They give you a new excuse every time you get through. The managers are never there. They say they will call back and never do (about 5 times so far) Still trying to contact the but no luck. Am in process of trading standards at the moment. So do not use this site!!!!
Also anybody think it would be worth while writing to MBUK to see what they think or will they be biased because they pay for adverts? Dan0 -
yea, winstanleys aren't great.
Having had a very poor experience with them, I don't even consider buying from them - no matter how much cheaper it may seem.
If it says "not in stock" save yourself any bother. took 4 months to supply me a frame that was "not in stock - but dispatched within 7 days".0
