more new wheels... (bespoke cycling provided)

well after much debating, reasoning, rationalising etc with myself... i finally sorted myself out with a nice set of new wheels.... these will be for racing and probably doing a bit of tt-ing on.

got a set of edge composites 1.0 rims with dt swiss hubs and bladed spokes... set is coming in at around 1260 grams :-)





only had them out for a few shorter rides... but I'm loving them... stiff as hell and fast as anything! they also make a most excellent noise :-)

I must also say a big thanks to Barry @ Bespoke cycling, he helped immensely with everything and I'd certainly go back. Recommended.

Lovely ...... just lovely! Edge Composites are really coming up these days.

As a matter of interest, what kind of price we talking about here? Hopefully not LW kind of money?

came in just under 1250 for the wheel build.... then tubs, cassette etc.... its zipp type money but lighter... and apparently stronger (having never ridden zipps I can't say for sure...)

Wouldn't know about being stronger than Zipps cos never had any, but they sure do look prettier, and the price isn't that bad is it, good choice.

I saw a set at Barry's place and everything I've heard and read about the Edge rims is good. I'd definitely consider when I'm in the market for deep sections. Are the decals removable? They're a bit loud for my liking...

I think they're not loud enough, should be coloured for my taste lol! Lovely wheels.
