Protein/Carb Drinks

Hi all,

I am wondering what the best (if any) protein/carb drink is to have to help build up my endurance whilst cycling.

At the moment i dont really have anything and my musles do tend to hurt by the end of the day and during the next cycle. I'm not sure but would taking supplements help to build up my musles/repair them quicker or do they really relate to other sports as opposed to cycling?
