Easton EA90SL vs Vuelta Carbon Pro Matrix
Help please! I am upgrading my wheels from 2006 Mavic Aksiums that are strong, true but a little heavy at 2000g and also well worn.
Two faves are Easton EA90SLs (and SLXs) at c£400 and the Vuelta Carbon Pro Matrix at about £600. What would all you folks out there go for? Tried and tested Eastons or relatively unknown Vueltas? Anyone out there got experience of the Vuelta?
Thanks for any help RoadFolks

I don't have any idea about the Vuelta wheels but here are a few links to give you a better idea

As for the Easton EA90's? I bought a set last week and have done 300 miles on them already and they are awesome.. So smooth and climbing is a joy. I find them really stiff when getting out of the saddle and sprinting - on my old aksiums I used to be able to feel the flex in them but on the EA90's they are super responsive -
They look super sexy also.. I will post some pics when I get home.

Much difference between the SL and SLX? Is the SLX that much lighter and that much more expensive or are there differences I don't know about?0

Same price, simply fewer spokes.0

Looks like I'll be investing some wonga in Eastons then! Must say I like the look of the Vueltas rims but they aren't handbuilt, they have odd looking hubs and the Eastons have the most amazing silent hubs. I had a demo ride on them at my local dealer, Eureka Cycle Sport - he is an approved Easton test Centre.
Thanks for the help - just needed nudging over the edgeMay the Spokes be With You0 -
ahh I think I saw you drop them off back at eureka last wednesday on the deeside estate
I was the dude riding the carbon bike with the green Evans Team Kit on - I had just done my first 60miles on them - I didn't even know they were easton agents till I went in looking for some new tyres..
